Introduction of carnitine
For medical treatment and health protection
Carnitine is used for angiocardiopathy, fatty liver,
sugar diabetes;
antifatigue, anti-anoxia, weight loss etc.
As food additive
Carnitine has been widely accepted
by the world as a new type fod additive for milk powder,
sports drinks etc.
As feed additive
Carnitine cna boost the
growth of animals(like pigs, cows, chicken, fish etc.
L-Carnitine Base
CAS NO.: 541-15-1
Chemical Name: (R)-3-Carboxy-2-hydroxy-N,N,N-trimethyl-1-propanaminium hydroxide,
inner salt (R)-(3-Carboxy-2-hydroxypropyl)trimethylammonium hydroxide, inner
salt
Alias: Vitamin BT
Molecular Formula: C7H15NO3
Molecular Weight: 161.2
Properties: L-Carnitine is white crystals or a white crystalline hygroscopic
powder with slight characteristic odor. It is extremely hygroscopic and even
deliquescent and can liquefy with exposure to open air. L-Carnitine is highly
soluble in water, alcohol, alkaline solutions and in dilute mineral acids.
It is practically insoluble in acetone or ethyl acetate.

Utility: L-Carnitine is hygroscopic, and suitable for
all kinds of liquid applications. L-Carnitine is essential
for the utilization of fatty acids and in transporting
metabolic energy. Therefore it can:
1. Promote normal growth and development
2. Treat and possibly prevent cardiovascular disease
3. Treat muscle disease
4. Help build muscle
5. Protect against liver disease
6. Protect against diabetes
7. Protect against kidney disease
8. Aid in dieting |
